The Energy and Utility Law Group continues to lead the way in permitting solar projects in Vermont under the state’s highly successful net metering program.  FG&M secured a Certificate of Public Good (“CPG”) from the Public Service Board for a 500 kW solar net metering facility located on the site of a gravel pit and former brownfield in Pownal.  This brings the number of 500 kW net metering projects successfully permitted by FG&M to eleven, with at least two more CPGs expected in 2016.  FG&M attorney David Carpenter, who handles these permitting matters, is also active in the industry group Renewable Energy Vermont.
