Debating Future Use for Vermont Yankee Site

As the debate over the future of the now-shuttered Vermont Yankee facility heats up, the Town of Vernon Planning and Economic Development Commission is moving to take on a more active role. Having intervened formally in the current proceeding before the Public Utility Commission (Docket 8880), the Commission, with the assistance of Facey Goss & McPhee attorneys David Carpenter and David Cooper, takes a seat at the negotiating table with the entities that are seeking approval for the decommissioning of the site, the State agencies that are reviewing those proposals, and other stakeholders.
