Debating Future Use for Vermont Yankee Site

As the debate over the future of the now-shuttered Vermont Yankee facility heats up, the Town of Vernon Planning and Economic Development Commission is moving to take on a more active role.  Having intervened formally in the current proceeding before the Public Utility Commission (Docket 8880), the Commission, with the assistance of Facey Goss & McPhee attorneys David Carpenter and David Cooper, takes a seat at the negotiating table with the entities that are seeking approval for the decommissioning of the site, the State agencies that are reviewing those proposals, and other stakeholders.  Vermont Digger reports:
